The Bushcraft Discovery Course
A two-day overnight Bushcraft course near Ruthin, North Wales
£210 per person
This course is for people who want to learn some of the skills required to create a camp in the woods and live with nature, not against it. By the end of the course you will have learnt to light a fire without matches or lighter, build a simple shelter that you will have to sleep in, and how to find safe water. You will have cooked several meals over a fire, be able to identify a variety of trees and plants and learnt how to use a knife and other cutting tools safely. Most people finish our courses saying they want to stay there and not go home!
It does not require huge levels of fitness, previous experience or lots of expensive kit.
Our instructor will meet you in Ruthin, then drive in convoy up to the Original Outdoors Bushcraft School in the hills and woods above the Vale of Clwyd. All food and drink for the duration of the course will be provided, but you are welcome to bring along any extra items!
You will also receive a Mora 840MG bushcraft knife (over 18s only) and a Light My Fire Firesteel to take home with you, so you can practice your newly acquired skills.
